As Sentient’s China Developer Relations & Ecosystem Growth, you’ll spearhead our efforts to build and empower the developer and AI research community across mainland China. You’ll be the bridge between Sentient’s open AI infrastructure and the region’s vibrant builders—those shaping the next wave of decentralized AI systems, open-source models, and LLM-powered applications.
This is a foundational role that blends technical fluency with deep community instincts and local market understanding. You’ll engage developers across China’s open-source, AI, and Web3 ecosystems—crafting localized programs, content, and partnerships that help Sentient become the go-to platform for building open, verifiable AI.
You’ll wear multiple hats: developer advocate, community architect, translator of global product vision into local context, and ecosystem connector.
ResponsibilitiesDeveloper Community & Ecosystem GrowthDefine and lead Sentient’s developer engagement strategy in China, aligning with our global DevRel roadmap.
Build and nurture a strong, trusted community across WeChat, Bilibili, Weibo, Zhihu, GitHub, and local developer forums.
Host technical workshops, AMAs, hackathons, and partnerships with top Chinese universities and AI communities.
Develop local ambassador and contributor programs to encourage open-source participation and contributions.
Collaborate with ecosystem partners—AI labs, cloud providers, LLM startups, and crypto-native developer communities.
Guide local developers through onboarding, SDK usage, and integrations with Sentient’s APIs and tools.
Collect, translate, and relay local developer feedback to Sentient’s product and engineering teams.
Identify region-specific challenges and propose improvements to ensure a seamless developer experience.
Translate and adapt documentation, tutorials, and SDK guides for Chinese audiences.
Create regionally relevant technical content: tutorials, case studies, blog posts, livestreams, and demo projects.
Serve as the local voice of Sentient’s open-source initiatives—sharing updates and insights in Mandarin on leading platforms.
Represent Sentient at major China AI and Web3 events, conferences, and hackathons.
Build relationships with leading researchers, student clubs, and open-source contributors.
Speak publicly or host webinars about decentralized AI, open infrastructure, and the Sentient vision.
Establish the foundational structure for DevRel in China, including KPIs, tools, and reporting frameworks.
Work cross-functionally with global DevRel, Product, and Growth teams to ensure local alignment.
As the community scales, help recruit and lead local advocates, community managers, and content creators.
5+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Technical Evangelism, Product Advocacy, or developer community roles.
Strong technical background—comfortable working with AI/ML frameworks, APIs, SDKs, or decentralized protocols.
Hands-on experience coding in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
Proven experience building or scaling developer communities in China (e.g., open-source, AI, Web3, or infrastructure).
