Role Overview

We are seeking a China GTM & Business Development Manager to drive Sentient’s entry, growth, and leadership in China. This role is central to executing a market-specific go-to-market strategy, building high-impact partnerships, and establishing Sentient as a premier decentralized AI project in one of the most advanced tech markets in the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive China-specific GTM strategy to achieve ecosystem penetration, developer adoption, and enterprise partnerships.

  • Localize Sentient’s narrative, messaging, and campaigns for Chinese cultural, regulatory, and industry contexts.

  • Identify, prioritize, and close strategic partnerships across enterprises, research institutions, and protocols.

  • Build long-term relationships with Chinese AI/tech enterprises, universities, and policy bodies.

  • Represent Sentient at industry events, policy forums, and conferences in China.

  • Partner with local media, KOLs, influencers, and developer groups to drive awareness and adoption.

  • Lead community-facing initiatives (meetups, hackathons, joint research pilots) to accelerate grassroots traction.

  • Monitor and analyze local industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory shifts to guide Sentient’s China strategy.

  • Act as the bridge between the Chinese ecosystem and Sentient’s global team, ensuring local insights inform global product, ecosystem, and governance roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of BD, partnerships, or GTM experience in China within AI, Web3, blockchain, or deep tech.

  • Proven track record of executing enterprise deals and market-entry strategies.

  • Strong existing network across Chinese enterprises, academic institutions, Web3 protocols, and regulators.

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Deep understanding of China’s AI, blockchain, and regulatory landscape.

  • Entrepreneurial, metrics-driven mindset; thrives in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments.

  • Prior experience at pre/alpha product-stage launches a strong plus.
