Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Architect to take ownership of digital identity strategy, solution design, and implementation for a major enterprise environment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll shape how identity and access management is delivered across multiple business lines and digital channels.
In this role, you will define and maintain the overall Customer Identity Management strategy and roadmap, ensuring it supports all digital channels — including retail, staff, consumer, wholesale, and enterprise audiences. You will lead initiatives to deploy new capabilities and reference architectures that enable rapid digital transformation, providing the frameworks and guidance required for secure and scalable solutions.
You will also provide thought leadership in the areas of identity platforms, authentication best practices, and emerging trends, helping the organisation stay ahead of evolving technology and security standards. A critical part of your role will be to evaluate existing and potential new digital solutions, create rollout plans, and ensure that implemented solutions remain relevant, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Collaboration will be at the core of this role. You will work closely with solution architects, security specialists, and delivery teams to coordinate design activities across multiple projects with differing priorities and dependencies. You will be hands-on in producing high-quality design artifacts and will guide implementing teams by reviewing detailed technical designs. Operating in a fast-paced, agile ecosystem, you will need to adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on delivering robust and effective identity solutions.
QualificationsProven experience as a CIAM Architect or Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on expertise with identity management platforms (ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, Auth0, Azure AD B2C).
Deep knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2).
Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects and manage competing priorities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
