Job Description

As a Claims Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in our Retail Life Claims team, guiding customers through life insurance claims with care, expertise, and efficiency.

What will you do

  • Independently managing a portfolio of life insurance claims end-to-end
  • Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments
  • Active engagement of external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants as well as in house medical and legal specialists and delivering timely outcomes for our customer
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with our philosophy, policy and claims procedures
  • Participate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instructing third party service providers

Qualifications

  • Diverse backgrounds welcome – Nursing and allied health, (physiotherapy, chiropracting, remedial massage or sports injury, psychology), or finance, legal, or accounting experience to deal effectively with financial planners and self-employed individuals
  • Or a Background in Income Protection claims, TPD claims, Group Life
  • Customer-focused mindset – Strong communication, empathy, and decision-making skills
  • Passion for guiding recovery – Experience in rehabilitation, return-to-work programs, or crisis management
  • High Attention to detail – Ability to navigate complex processes with precision
  • Curious and growth-focused – A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • You’re accountable, resilient, and solution-focused—always striving for the best outcomes for customers and partners.
