About the Role

As a Client Director, you’ll play a dual role, balancing business development and account growth. You’ll lead the charge in acquiring new strategic customers while nurturing existing relationships in our Tier 1 clients to maximise revenue. You’ll own your accounts, working closely with customers to align Macquarie Telecom’s solutions with their business goal.

What you'll do

  • Manage a portfolio of Tier 1 strategic customers
  • Identify, Target, and Win new strategic customers
  • Hunt for new prospects and business development leads to build a pipeline of new business
  • Sell solutions into new prospect accounts within the Cloud / Voice / Data including WAN optimisation / Mobile and convergence Lines of Business by working with the SMEs, Solution Architects, and Head of Sales on a qualified opportunity
  • Build multi-level relationships across strategic accounts, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring outstanding customer outcomes.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within accounts to drive revenue growth
  • Work with internal stakeholders, including Solution Architects and SMEs, to design and deliver comprehensive solutions for customers.
  • Achieve and exceed target revenue per month
  • Maintain up-to-date records in our CRM system, ensuring forecasting accuracy and seamless reporting.

Your ideal skills and experience

  • You have 10+ years of experience in sales or account management, specialising in telecommunications or cloud services.
  • You are a high-performer with a track record of exceptional sales results
  • You possess excellent communication skills and strong negotiation abilities, with the capability to develop relationships at all levels, including C-suite.
  • You’re familiar with sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, or TAS, and have a solid understanding of technical solutions like IP Networks, Mobile, Voice, and Cloud.
  • You’re a proactive and results-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • You understand telecommunications environments and its technical challenges
