Purpose of the role
- To conduct on-site audits against the requirements of relevant standards such as ISO 14001 SMETA, ESG, GHG-related, Sustainability reporting
- To provide expertise, produce audit reports, and make recommendations for certification decisions.
- To promote the BSI product offering and solutions to our clients with the view of improving their business performance and managing risk.
- To support and contribute to the delivery of BSI’s services aligned with its Sustainability strategy across Australia and New Zealand
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Lead and conduct sustainability and management system standard audits alone or in audit teams, in accordance with BSI requirements and Our Client Promise.
- Prepare audit reports and deliver findings to clients.
- Ensure client understanding of the audit decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.
- Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates and verification statements, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, and procedures within the prescribed time frame.
- Establish and develop an effective partnership, which secures the commercial relationship and encourages opportunities for business development and increased client satisfaction with clients in your portfolio.
- Provide accurate and prompt information to internal stakeholders, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met.
- Plan/schedule workloads to make the best use of own time and maximize revenue-earning activity.
- Coach colleagues and provide technical support as appropriate.
- Maintain and develop auditor skills and technical and management system standards knowledge.
- Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules, and promoting BSI services to clients so they can optimize business performance.
- Support the development of the Sustainability business by working with the Head of Sustainability ANZ to promote business development initiatives
Key Performance Indicators
- Be the BSI Brand Ambassador
- Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure your audit diary is booked 3 to 6 months ahead. Book the next audit at the current audit if possible
- Produce high-quality, accurate, and professional client reports
- Complete the client report before you leave the site for 50% of audits or within 5 days of the audit end date for 100% of audits
- Identify and discuss business development opportunities in relation to BSI products and services with clients
- Be 100% productive and aim to exceed your audit delivery target days per year
- Maintain and upskill by acquiring more auditing skills and qualifications – own your development
- Be part of the BSI team
