Job Description:

At dentsu, we drive growth that matters - for our people, our clients, and the industry. Inspired by Sanpo Yoshi, we’re focused on doing good for business, society, and each other.

In Australia, we’re building something powerful: one team with one ambition - to become the most potent media force in the market, known for bold thinking and standout work.

We don’t just work for our clients, we build with them. We challenge, partner, and create lasting, growth-driven relationships.

We think like challengers, act like owners, and are here to set a new standard.

We’ve just landed one of the most exciting new partnerships in market - working with a leading sports and entertainment brand that connects millions of Australians to sport, racing and digital experiences.

It’s a high-profile, fast-moving and career-defining account, where media, data and innovation come together to drive standout work .

The Role

Client Partner is a senior leadership role owning client growth, strategy, and commercial outcomes. You’ll lead key relationships, shape bold media thinking, and deliver measurable impact.

You’ll build and inspire a high-performing team, set the standard for client delivery, and unlock growth across the dentsu network. Reporting to Senior Leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the agency.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead from the front - build a high-performing, switched-on team that delivers and owns it.

  • Drive end-to-end strategic direction – turn sharp insights into bold moves that drive real growth.

  • Build and own senior client relationships, become the trusted voice clients rely on to challenge, push and deliver.

  • Oversee delivery excellence, ensuring best-in-class planning, governance, and execution across all work

  • Champion bold, high-quality output, raising the bar for creativity and effectiveness across the portfolio.

  • Coach and develop Client Directors and emerging leaders, building capability and future-ready talent

  • Own commercial performance, including revenue growth, forecasting, and P&L accountability

  • Identify and drive new growth opportunities across the network, balancing client value with agency success

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience delivering campaigns in regulated categories, balancing creativity with strict legal and compliance requirements.

  • 10+ years in media with the credibility to influence senior clients and own the room at CMO level

  • A proven leader of large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and moving parts

  • Calm under pressure - thriving in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where priorities shift fast

  • Strong commercial instincts and a track record of turning strategy into real business growth

  • A collaborative mindset - able to seamlessly connect in-house and agency teams to deliver one outcome

  • Deep curiosity about clients, their category, and what it takes to win in market

  • The drive to raise standards, challenge thinking, and push for better every time

What’s in it for you:

  • Real flexibility to work when and where you feel most productive

  • The opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave and our whole-company event, One Day for Change

  • 5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 3 whole company Wellness days off per year for you to switch off and take your day, your way

  • Career Development and Learning & Development opportunities, including access to our global online dentsu University

Become a champion for meaningful progress:

Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so. For us, this is the foundation for great innovation which, in turn, generates better outcomes for our people, partners and communities. This is why we encourage applications from people with disabilities, and of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and cultures.

If you want to belong to a one global network where opportunities are limitless – we look forward to welcoming you.
