About The Role:
We are currently looking for mental health clinician to provide counselling services through the Telus Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Our EAP service provides short-term counselling to a diverse set of clients dealing with various personal issues that may or may not be work-related and also manage clients facing urgent or crisis situations requiring immediate attention via telephone or chat modalities. Services are delivered face-to-face, and online via telephone and video sessions.
What will you be responsible for?
• Provides immediate telephone crisis counseling/interventions to employees and family members of customer organisations;
• Provides immediate management consultation to key employees within customer organisations
• Assess client’s needs and provide telephone counseling when the client is not prepared to accept a referral, or book an appointment with a Counsellor
• Provide single session, one-off counselling support to clients, referring on for further short term counselling or signposting for ongoing, external support.
• Offering short-term counselling or crisis intervention to address immediate issues.
• Conducting assessments to understand clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Referring clients to external resources or specialists for long-term support if needed
