Job Description

The Cloud Data Engineer will support, manage, and design Azure-based solutions that align with Shift's technology and data requirements.

Main Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Develop, support, and maintain ETL pipelines (Azure Data Factory).
  • Design and build data solutions integrating with third-party services and vendors.
  • Act as a liaison between technology and internal data teams.
  • Support the wider Technology team in data compliance, discovery and resilience.
  • Support Technology with ad-hoc reporting requirements (Tableau, SQL)
  • Optimization and development of SQL databases, queries and data infrastructure performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent (minimum requirement)

Additional Information

  • Minimum of 5+ years working in a data or infrastructure team (or 1-2 years as a developer).
  • 2+ years using cloud-native data tools like Data Factory, SQL, CosmosDB and Azure Data Lakes or on-premises equivalent.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and experience (sql query, table design and admin)
  • Experience with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • Expertise in building data integrations across cloud platforms.
  • Development ability in C# or Python high advantageous (Azure Functions)
  • Azure DataBricks experience beneficial
  • Tableau development and analysis skills highly sought after
