What success looks like in this role:
Unisys is seeking a Cloud SME to lead and support cloud operations across AWS and Azure platforms, with a strong focus on Amazon Connect, Microsoft Entra, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This role will be pivotal in ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments for mission-critical workloads in alignment with E8 and ISM standards.
AWS Cloud Operations
- Manage AWS Organizations and Control Tower setup for multi-account governance
- Monitor account health, billing, and usage thresholds
- Maintain CloudWatch dashboards and alarms for operational visibility
- Review and manage CloudTrail logs for auditing and traceability
- Ensure compliance with AWS Config Conformance Packs aligned to E8 and ISM controls
Amazon Connect & Related AWS Services
- Maintain Amazon Connect configurations and integrations
- Support associated services:
- S3: Storage lifecycle, access controls, retention policies
- KMS: Key rotation, encryption policies, audit readiness
- Replication: Monitor replication status and troubleshoot failures
Microsoft Entra
- Maintain identity and access configurations
- Support policy updates and role-based access control
- Assist with integration issues across Microsoft services
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Monitor host pool performance and session health
- Apply patches and updates as required
- Coordinate with Nerdio Manager for scaling and automation
Nerdio Manager (Recommended)
- Manage automation workflows and cost optimisation
- Monitor provisioning tasks and alerting
- Support reporting and dashboard configuration
Certificate Management
- Oversee lifecycle of digital certificates across platforms
- Ensure timely renewal and compliance with security policies
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operations
- Hands-on expertise in AWS (Amazon Connect, Control Tower, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra and Azure AVD
- Experience with Nerdio Manager is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Australian Government security frameworks (E8, ISM)
- Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Microsoft) preferred
