We’re on the lookout for a talented and experienced Cloud Solution Architect to join our team. If you have a solid background in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, and love creating scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you'll work closely with both our clients and internal teams to design and deploy cloud-based systems tailored to their unique needs, driving real business value.
This is a permanent, full‑time role with a hybrid work arrangement.

Let’s talk about you

If you think you’ve got what it takes to ‘be awesome’ with us, this is what you need to demonstrate:

  • Experience as an architect or equivalent role with experience in frameworks and delivery methodologies like TOGAF, ITIL, Agile, and TM Forum.

  • Experience with on-premise cloud native architectures, complex migrations and public cloud solutions such as AWS and/or Azure.

  • Strong experience in leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders across the business and garner support for complex change.

  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: cloud native platforms and shared services, modern architectural practices, open source solutions, on-premise infrastructure

How will you support our “Why?”

As our Cloud Solution Architect, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes:

  • Lead the design of end-to-end technology solutions that align with Aussie Broadband’s Cloud roadmap and strategy.

  • Support the development and delivery of our Cloud roadmap, ensuring it stays in tune with customer demand.

  • Design and architecting robust, scalable, and maintainable private cloud solutions using virtualisation, cloud-native, and XaaS capabilities.

  • Provide structured architectural decision-making and governance for project deliverables.

  • Engage with the business through ideation, workshops, and presentations to create and document appropriate technical solutions.

  • Manage your time effectively to juggle multiple parts of an architecture and delivery process.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote architectural practices within and across projects.

  • Mentor and guide others with your architectural expertise.

  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and platforms.

The technical skills we're looking for:

  • Experience with on-premise cloud-native capabilities like X-as-a-service offerings (IaaS, PaaS) and Kubernetes. Experience with SUSE Rancher is a big plus!

  • Experience with open source, git-ops driven platforms

  • Knowledge of enterprise networking, data protection, disaster recovery, and security solutions.

  • A solid grasp of current and emerging technologies.
