The Opportunity:

Are you ready to kick-start your career in commercial operations?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Administrator to join our Commercial team supporting the Director, Commercial. This position will be a hands-on opportunity to learn the inner workings of a commercial team within Australia’s Defence and Security Solutions business.

You’ll gain exposure to commercial processes, supplier onboarding, contracts, compliance, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll also have the chance to support strategic initiatives around digitisation, process improvement and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing commercial registers, documentation, and workflows
  • Supporting the onboarding and compliance process for suppliers and partners
  • Maintaining internal systems including SharePoint and distribution lists
  • Assisting with reporting, tracking, and preparation of commercial analysis
  • Contributing to digitisation and process improvement initiatives
  • Providing scheduling and coordination support to the Director, Commercial ADSS
  • Collaborating with teams across Finance, Project Controls, HR, Legal, and Communications
  • Supporting meeting coordination, internal events, and training arrangements
  • Helping ensure the smooth operation of commercial processes across the business

About you:

You are a proactive and organised individual looking to gain hands-on experience in a commercial or business operations role. You enjoy working with data, documentation, systems and most importantly, you’re eager to learn. You may have completed a business related degree or have equivalent practical experience in an office environment. You thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams.

  • An interest in commercial operations, business administration or contract management
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A tech-savvy mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and SharePoint)
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
