The commercial and Contracts manager oversees and manages operational contract management, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and communication with the vendor and internal stakeholders. This role involves managing operational relationships with vendors to control costs, ensure the quality of products/services delivered, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partners. The manager will work closely with various departments to align contract and commercial strategies with Endeavour’s policies and business goals while mitigating risks associated with contracts and commercial agreements.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:

  • Led by IT Commercial / Group NT Procurement Functions support drafting, negotiation, and award of contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards.

  • Oversee the implementation of the contract deliverables and coordinate with the Contract Owner and other key stakeholders to ensure contract objectives are met.

  • Manage contract lifecycle, liaising with IT Commercial / Group NT Procurement teams in support of - issue/dispute resolution, amendments/variations, renewals, -terminations, management of contractual claims, service level credits, liabilities and vendor offboarding.

  • Proactively monitor contract performance to ensure vendors meet their obligations, including delivery schedules, quality standards, and service levels.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor performance.

  • Identify and support implementation of cost-saving strategies in collaboration with vendors, to optimise costs through the contract lifecycle without compromising quality.

  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with key vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for vendor-related matters.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Program Leadership, IT Commercial / Group NT Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Operations, to align vendor management activities with business goals. In consultation with IT Commercial, Group NT Procurement and Legal Teams, address and resolve any issues or concerns related to operational contracts and commercial matters.


Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • 10+ years of contract administration experience in the ITC Industry.

  • Degree in contracts, commercial/business law, or equivalent.

  • Experience in commercial negotiation

  • Experience in ICT Contract Management

  • Experience with cost-plus and risk-reward contract arrangements with major contractors.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

  • High-level customer relationship management and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Google Suite

  • Knowledge of Australian standards and legislation regarding quality management, program management, risk management, and security of payments.

  • Experience in the retail, supply chain and/or manufacturing industries.
