We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Commercial Finance Business Partner - Media with our awesome team in Sydney for a 6 month Contract opportunity – with view to extension.

Applicants based in Melbourne also considered.

The role:

As our next Commercial Finance BP, you will play a critical role in partnering with business leaders in our Media practice, and overseeing forecasting and month-end processes for this business unit.

Given the complexity of the Media practise, we are looking for someone with experience working in media agency previously – this is imperative to ensure success in this role.

Core responsibilities:

  • Assist with the practice level forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Analyse variances between actual results and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial insights and recommendations
  • Oversee the management of business unit costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and strategic goals
  • Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial needs and challenges
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis and modelling

A bit about you:

  • Experience in a BP role in Media Agency with strong working knowledge of the media industry.
  • Demonstrated high commercial acumen, to support business leaders on strategic initiatives
  • Ability to support the FP&A function on planning, reporting and analysis
  • Eager to support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis and modelling, and recommendations
  • Excellent commercial nous and enjoy corporate culture
  • Experience with reviewing business practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Enjoy implementing changes and improvements in reporting and planning practices in line with Finance roadmap.
