Job Description

Job Overview

The Commercial Finance Director will serve as the Finance Business Partner for our Regional Sales team. In a dynamic and rapidly expanding company, the role involves supporting Sales to optimize Booking value and Revenue Recognition, thereby contributing to ambitious targets. With strong communication skills, the position collaborates with Regional management to provide business insights and advice and works closely with Sales executives in structuring and negotiating sales transactions.

Reporting to the Regional Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific, Japan, Middle East & Africa, this role plays a key part in achieving financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing finance and commercial input and support to the Regional Leadership Team
  • Support Sales team in Deal structuring ensuring to maximize and optimize Revenue Recognition, Bookings, Total Contract Value (TCV), and Annual Contract Value (ACV)
  • Advise on financial implications of management and commercial decisions
  • Support the Sales team in closing deals
  • Collaborate with Business Operations and FP&A teams forecasting Bookings
  • Ensure commercial and financial compliance in line with policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including, the finance team, auditors, budget holders, and customers.
  • Support  Ad hoc financial projects as and when required
  • Must be able to work with all areas of the business and comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of senior finance experience in the software industry
  • BA/BS in finance, accounting, or related field – MBA a plus
  • Strong Revenue Recognition knowledge (IFRS 15)
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience in supporting sales and consulting organizations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel and financial modeling

Additional Information

  • Commercially minded and able to apply technical finance knowledge to different commercial landscapes.
  • A persistent nature and a willingness to understand and overcome operational challenges/obstacles.
  • Ability to understand processes and challenges and effectively communicate internally.
  • Ability to understand internal processes and navigate effectively.
  • Previous experience in a multinational technology company would be an advantage
