We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Financial Reporting Manager to oversee the financial reporting processes, tax and financial decision-making across the organisation.

Financial Reporting Oversight

  • Manage the preparation and presentation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial results for multiple entities within the group.

Financial Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct financial analysis to interpret and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial reporting processes and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Tax

  • Tax Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and submit all direct tax compliance and regulatory reporting returns, including PAYG instalments including via third party service providers across all regions.
  • Tax Planning & Strategy : Work with external advisors to implement, manager and monitor transfer pricing, thin capitalisation and other strategic tax matters

Commercial Finance Partnership

  • Work closely with teams across JOLT to provide input and review business cases, providing financial analysis and insights to drive sound commercial decisions.
  • Support teams in identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimisation through financial insights.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure financial alignment with commercial initiatives.
  • Provide financial leadership in cross-functional projects, to ensure goals align with overall company strategy.

Strategic Decision support

  • Help build, prepare, and communicate internal and Board-level financial reports that enable high-quality decision-making and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align financial data with broader business objectives.

Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure financial data is aligned with operational objectives, providing insights that optimise business performance.
  • Act as a key adviser to cross-functional teams, ensuring financial decisions are well-informed and strategically sound.

Operational Efficiency

  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Leverage automation and technology to streamline financial operations.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years in a similar role at a growth company / organisation 
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • A strong understanding of tax and ability to work with external tax professionals for group tax filings and tax strategy Proficiency in financial analysis and interpretation.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
