We're a Sydney-based biotech building a new category in cosmeceuticals, cell-cultured exosomes, born out of one of Australia's most advanced cell culture platforms.
Our parent company, Vow, was founded in 2019 to reimagine food through cellular agriculture. Along the way, we discovered our proprietary bioprocess produces extraordinarily potent bioactive ingredients as a by-product and the skincare and aesthetics market wants them. We're now building a dedicated commercial business around this.
We have real product, real efficacy data, real clinic traction, and a supply model with exceptional margins. What we need now is the person to build the commercial engine around it.
The role:As a Commercial Lead - Cosmetics at Vow, you’ll own the commercial buildout of our bioactive ingredients business. This is a rare opportunity to take a genuinely novel product - cell-derived exosomes with demonstrated efficacy in the aesthetics market - and build the go-to-market engine around it from the ground up.
You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, driving three interconnected workstreams:
Market validation of exosome-based skinbooster products – owning the in-market testing programme with aesthetic clinics across Australia,Singapore and beyond (broader APAC, US/EU), from clinic onboarding and training through to collecting clinical assets, managing orders and iterating on product-market fit.
B2B ingredient sales – building and managing commercial relationships for the sale of Vow’s exosome ingredient to ingredient distributors and third-party skincare and personal care brands.
Long-term strategic ingredient partnerships – identifying and developing high-value partnerships that expand the reach of Vow’s bioactive platform into new applications and geographies.
You’ll work directly with Vow’s leadership, our chosen GTM partner, regulatory and quality teams, and external stakeholders including KOLs, clinic owners, distributors and brand partners. You act as the primary in-market bridge between customers (clinics, brands, etc) and Vow’s quality, regulatory, marketing, product/manufacturing, legal, supply chain teams to ensure effective and functional formulations, supply readiness, compliant messaging and correct (clinical) handling. This is a role for someone who thrives on ambiguity, loves building something from zero, and can shift seamlessly between crafting a distribution strategy and doing a face-to-face clinic visit the same afternoon.
We’re looking for someone who brings structured thinking paired with relentless execution, but also has the commercial instinct and relationship-building chops to sell a genuinely novel product in a fast-moving market.
The experience/skills you will bring:3+ years of experience in business development, commercial operations, or strategy roles at a high-growth startup, management consulting, biotech/life sciences, or the aesthetics/skincare industry.
Demonstrated ability to take a product or business line from early stage through to commercial traction - you’ve built something from scratch before.
Strong commercial instincts with the ability to build trust and close deals with a range of stakeholders, from clinic owners and KOLs to brand partners and distributors.
Experience managing cross-functional projects involving regulatory, quality, supply chain and external partners. You’re comfortable being the connective tissue between many moving parts.
A passion for learning and continued growth, and an eagerness to operate and create clarity in ambiguous environments.
Top-notch analytical and research skills - you can size a market, build a pricing model, and synthesise clinic feedback into a clear recommendation.
Superb time management and prioritisation skills. You’ll be juggling multiple workstreams and need to know where to focus.
Zero ego. You’ll lead high-impact commercial initiatives, but you lead by doing – whether that’s running a clinic training session, prepping sample shipments, or building a pitch deck at midnight.
Bonus points for:
Experience in the aesthetics, dermatology, or cosmeceuticals space.
Familiarity with clinic distribution models, KOL engagement, or medical device/cosmetic product launches.
International market experience
Note: you do not need to satisfy 100% of the points listed above. If you have some of the skills and believe you could make an impact in this role, please apply – we want to hear from you!
You will:Own the end-to-end in-market validation of Vow’s exosome-based skinbooster product with aesthetic clinics across NSW (and eventually Singapore), including clinic selection, onboarding, training, sample delivery, feedback collection and order management.
Design and execute trial protocols, coordinate before/after photography standards, and build the clinical evidence base needed for marketing claims and regulatory submissions.
Build and manage the B2B sales pipeline for Vow’s exosome ingredient, from lead generation and outreach through to negotiation and closing.
Identify, evaluate and develop strategic ingredient partnerships that expand the commercial footprint of Vow’s bioactive platform.
Collaborate closely with Vow’s partners on brand architecture, distribution strategy, education materials and launch sequencing.
Coordinate with internal teams (regulatory, quality, product, manufacturing, supply chain, legal) to ensure product supply, compliance and readiness across all commercial activities.
Produce consolidated trial and market reports that synthesise clinical feedback, commercial insights and strategic recommendations for Vow’s leadership.
Be hands on. This role is equal parts strategy and hustle – expect to be in clinics multiple times a week, building relationships face-to-face, and doing whatever it takes to drive traction.
You’ll take ownership of active clinic relationships and begin expanding the network during the soft launch. You’ll build deep context on all three workstreams and develop clear plans for the quarter ahead.
Over the next few months, you’ll be driving hard launch execution - scaling clinic activations, closing B2B ingredient deals, and building the evidence base that proves product-market fit. You’ll be a critical voice in shaping go-to-market strategy. You’ll have the customer engagement data (sales funnel progression, conversion to PO, repeat behavior), high-quality clinical assets, and relationships to make that recommendation with conviction. Depending on the chosen commercial strategy, you’ll refine the clinic activation and education playbook so it becomes repeatable and scalable beyond the initial validation cohort. You’ll shape the development of additional SKUs based on in-market feedback and demand signals.
In your first year, you’ll have built a functioning commercial engine for Vow’s cosmeceutical business. You’ll have demonstrated early product-market fit, established repeatable sales processes, built and signed relationships with strategic GTM partner(s), and laid the groundwork for scaling into new markets and applications. You’ll have expanded the product portfolio with at least one additional SKU and built a future-proof NPD pipeline by translating clinic and partner insights into new product opportunities. You’ll have created a defensible clinical and commercial foundation that supports strong, compliant marketing claims and long-term category leadership. You’ll be the person who knows this business inside and out – and the one who built it.
