The Opportunity

KBR is seeking a capable and motivated Commercial Manager to support the growth and delivery of commercial activities within our Australia Defence and Security Solutions (ADSS) business.

As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the development and execution of commercial strategies aligned with KBR’s business goals. You will assist in the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts to help mitigate risk, ensure compliance, and support project success.

This position requires the ability to hold an AGSVA security clearance upon commencement.

Responsibilities 

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to: 

  • Support the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities.

  • Assist in maintaining strong client relationships by understanding requirements and ensuring contract outcomes align with expectations.

  • Monitor commercial aspects of project performance and help identify improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with finance and project teams to support the development of estimates and financial models.

  • Contribute to the provision of commercial advice across programs and within the commercial team.

  • Support contract reviews, negotiations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Help assess and manage commercial risks across projects.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience 

Essential: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, or relevant Defence industry experience.

  • Experience working in Defence-related commercial management (Industry and/or Government), with exposure to the ASDEFCON suite.

  • Ability to contribute to negotiations and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.

  • You must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
