Commercial Manager - Renewables
Freo Group is looking to fill the position of Commercial Manager - Renewables to manage one of our major contracts based in our Orange branch and working on the Uungula Wind Farm development project.
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy and direction, through a strong link between commercial thinking, contractual clarity, and actionable results. We are after people with the following attributes:

You’ll be required to:
· Lead commercial strategy execution to achieve financial targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and uphold safety standards. We lift the weight off your shoulders. Safely.
· Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial agreements, including contracts, rate cards, and pricing structures, ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
· Lead quality assurance and service standards to maintain full compliance with contractual obligations.
· Align commercial initiatives with operational planning, project delivery, and customer needs through cross-functional collaboration.
· Provide strategic insights through data analytics, trend forecasting, and scenario modelling to inform executive decisions and long-term planning.
· Identify margin opportunities, cost trends, and contractual risks—delivering actionable recommendations to mitigate exposure and drive performance.
Essential Requirements:
· Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce or equivalent combination of commercial qualifications and relevant experience
· 5 or more years’ Commercial experience in Construction or Mining. Wind industry and Crane industry experience desired
· Demonstrated leadership experience with proven negotiation and relationship building capabilities.
· Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple stakeholders simultaneously
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and contractors.
· Demonstrated sound written and oral communication skills including report writing
· Computer skills including MS Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
· Oracle P6 experience preferred
· Manage and lead the commercial team, providing guidance, support, and direction to all staff involved in the project
