Role Title: Cost Modeller

Role Description: Under the direction of the MSM BMS Product Development Lead, the Commercial Modeller must have demonstrated experience in commercial analysis in a Defence sustainment environment or similar asset intensive industry.

The Commercial Modeller will be able to conduct contract and policy analysis including a deep dive into available support application capabilities and data. Utilising Holocentric to develop detailed processes in cooperation with available Process Authors (PA), the Commercial Modeller must be able to work effectively on their own, as well as a member of the team.

The Commercial Modeller will also cooperate with relevant wider Defence Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain a clear understanding of how processes under development support and fit into the wider enterprise business. Clear guidance will be provided to related PA to ensure tasks are completed IAW schedule requirements. Risks will be flagged and a proposed mitigation strategy will be built. The Commercial Modeller will then forward this information to the Product Management Lead for review.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse, understand and interpret relevant Contracts, Policy and any other official support documentation

- Review the current ‘As-is” state, build a baseline in order to develop optimisation strategies for the ‘Could-be’ state (i.e. synergies, contract and commercial improvements, etc.)

- Utilise BMS library standards and extant commercial analysis experience to develop high quality and complete processes in Holocentric

- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scope and priorities remain aligned and propose changes to the Product Development Lead

- Identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations, as required

- Actively work with future process users and wider SMEs during the development and iteration phase in form of virtual or face-to-face workshops

- Identify commercial, contract and procurement gaps relevant to the process area under development

- Provide an overview of Strategic Opportunities and Threats during the analysis and development phase at the direction of the Product Development Lead

- Provide input to the Product Management Lead in support of Change Management during implementation times

Required Security Clearance Level: Negative Vetting One (NV1) preferred

Location: Sydney

Weekly Hours: 40hrs
