Datadog Sales Engineers help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners. You will provide technical and solutions expertise to the sales process through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations. Sales Engineers have a voice with the product team to help prioritize features based on input from customers, competitors, and partners. Additionally, you will work with various teams to resolve customer concerns, escalate product issues, and serve as an ambassador for our brand. What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with customer success teams to articulate the overall Datadog value proposition, vision and strategy to customers
  • Work with APJ commercial accounts and Datadog personnel that communicate in English 
  • Perform discovery and devise solutions that solve our customers observability and DevSecOps needs. 
  • Continually learn new technologies and products to build competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
  • Deliver product and technical presentations with a broad range of existing clients.  Help answer technical questions that customers may have.
  • Lead and support customer evaluations and trials of Datadog’s software
  • Collaborate with technical support, where needed, to ensure successful resolution of customer issues
  • Have a direct line of communication with the product teams to collaborate on feature requests
  • Assist clients and help guide them toward appropriate post-sales and partner services for successful onboarding of the product   
  • Think creatively and help resolve the wide variety of technical challenges that may  occur during the overall customer’s life cycle

Who You Are:

  • Enjoys a hybrid office culture and spending time in-person at our Singapore or Sydney office
  • Has minimum 3+ years of professional working experience ideally in Technical Pre-sales or in Application Development, DevOps, SRE, Security, or Cloud Architecture/Technologies
  • Enjoys collaborating and teaming with others
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable and confident in delivering technical presentations/demos
  • Can multi-task, manage time well, and be responsive to others
  • Curious, eager to learn, and persistent in solving problems
  • Able to sit up to 4 hours, traveling to and from client sites and events
  • Able to travel via auto, train or air up to 20% of the time
