The Role 

We have an immediate need for a Senior Consultant in Sydney with strong commercial acumen, relevant qualifications, and proven experience in the Defence Industry. This Service Delivery role sits within our Maritime Sustainment segment, where you will provide commercial advisory consulting services to our clients. While consulting experience would be great, we can help you to develop those skills if you haven’t consulted before. 

 

Our Ideal Candidate 

You have experience with Defence contracting and procurement processes, including a working knowledge of the ASDEFCON contracting suite. Experience delivering services to clients such as NSSG, CASG, or other areas within Defence would be highly regarded — if this sounds like you, we’d welcome a conversation. 

As a Defence consultancy, we also need you to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a AGSVA Security Clearance. 

 Essential skills and attributes include: 

  • A solid understanding of key Defence procurement, including the Procurement Policy Framework and Commonwealth Procurement Rules 
  • High level of emotional intelligence and humanistic 
  • Great listener, excellent communicator and dedicated 
  • A proven track record of delivering quality outcomes  

 

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory): 

  • Defence maritime or other domain sustainment or project experience 
  • Above the line support directly to the Commonwealth 
  • Legal background 
  • Foreign military sale expertise including export / import management
