Job Description

About the team and the role

This role reports to the Head of Commercial Transport & Hotels and forms part of the Leasing and Asset Management Team. The Leasing and Asset Management Team drives commercial returns from non-aeronautical activities by maximising revenue across real estate assets such as carparks, ground transport, hotels, rental cars, and terminal and airfield leases. The team also explores alternative developments to grow core revenue.

The Commercial Transport and Hotels Manager focuses on optimising revenue across transport and hotel portfolios at Sydney Airport, while ensuring safe, efficient operations. The role manages contracts, identifies growth opportunities, and enhances customer experience through smart infrastructure use.

Please note this is a 12-month parental leave cover.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Revenue Optimisation: Identify and develop revenue opportunities that drive incremental growth across the commercial transport and hotel portfolios, including new and existing streams.
  • Contract Management: Effectively manage all commercial transport contracts, ensuring compliance and maximisation of value for Sydney Airport.
  • Operational Efficiency: Enhance operational performance by streamlining the movement of people and vehicles through the landside precinct, supporting revenue growth initiatives.
  • Infrastructure Utilisation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise the use of infrastructure assets, balancing customer experience with revenue goals.
  • Product & Service Implementation: Oversee the implementation and management of new and ongoing products, services, and processes designed to drive portfolio revenue.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare and present documentation and insights for key stakeholders, supporting decision-making and strategic initiatives.

About you

You’ll bring relevant tertiary qualifications or at least five years’ experience in a similar operational role, with a strong background in SLA contract management and stakeholder engagement. Your experience should include leading projects in complex environments and driving performance through collaboration.

You’re a confident communicator with excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, capable of building strong relationships across teams. A self-starter with high integrity, you work well independently and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary setting. Your analytical mindset and data-driven approach help you solve problems effectively, and you have a solid understanding of WH&S practices and contract management.
