About this role
The Comms Strategy Lead is a key member to Stake’s Marketing team and focuses on delivering a diverse range of projects. The Comms Strategy Lead is responsible for the organisation's public voice and image and is tasked with crafting, implementing and overseeing communication plans that align with our company identity to enhance reputation and brand equity. Moreover, the role works closely with Brand Marketing and members of the Senior Leadership Team to build, manage and improve the reputation and image of the organisation. Their responsibilities are varied and include developing long-term strategies that deliver on key messaging, media relations and outreach as well as identifying stakeholder needs and engagement across customers, employees, media and the general public.
Further responsibilities include:
- Developing comprehensive communication strategies that outlines key messaging, communication channels and timelines of activities
- Identifying and understanding various audiences to tailor messaging and communications to engage customers, employees, media and the general public with the organisation
- Developing clear, consistent, and compelling messaging that reflects the organisations values, mission and positioning woven into any variety of communication material
- Being the primary point of contact with Stake’s external PR agency to set the overarching media strategy that handles the day-to-day media pitching;
- Identifying and building relationships with media outlets and journalists;
- Working with various senior leadership team members to ensure a credible image and consistent voice in the category;
- Being the primary point of contact for all media enquiries at Stake;
- Manage the briefing, development and implementation of campaigns across owned, shared and paid channels;
- Develop and manage partner relationships that may be of benefit to Stake for any of an awareness, credibility, acquisition or other benefit;
- Working with Content Marketing to ensure a steady stream of relevant and engaging content across various platforms such as blogs, articles, white papers, videos and social media posts;
A bit about you
- Confident communicator with excellent writing skills and a natural ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging message
- Extensive experience in communications strategy, public relations, media and/or journalism
- Demonstrable experience in creating clear, consistent, and compelling messaging with consideration of audiences to engage customers, employees, media and the general public with the organisation
- Confident creating communications strategies and delivering them through owned, earned, shared and paid channels
- Strong writing and storytelling skills across multiple formats
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
