In this role, you will work with executives and a range of stakeholders across the business to deliver communications supporting the business strategy and marketing initiatives. You will manage Group-wide communications and campaigns, including communications strategy development, content development, media engagement, monitoring and reporting as well as some internal communications.
You will:
- Plan and execute communications strategies to support Nous Group’s brand and campaign activity
- Manage and develop message frameworks / guides for communications and collateral
- Develop content for a range of channels including website, social media, media, internal communications, client communications
- Provide ad hoc editorial and communications advice to colleagues developing communications materials.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for amplifying Nous’ thought leadership and corporate news, including through external publishing and interviews, developing relationships with relevant media outlets
- Manage incoming media enquiries, acting as the primary contact for media
- Prepare and coach senior leaders ahead of media interviews and engagement, and deliver (pending experience) or coordinate introductory media training/coaching to groups of senior colleagues
- Delivery of social media strategy - oversee Nous’ social media channels with the support of the marketing co-ordinator and editorial contributors
- Work with the Head of Marketing/CMO to identify and deliver on opportunities for executive profiling
- Work with the CMO and external comms agency where required to manage issues and crisis communication response
- Be open to - and interested in! – adopting AI and other technology solutions to increase efficiency, quality and delivery where appropriate.
Experience and capabilities required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a corporate communications and public relations role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in proactive and reactive media engagement, including issues management
- Has a network of relationships with journalists and media outlets
- Strong organisational skills and experience managing multiple projects with competing timeframes
- Experience in social media management and content creation
- An understanding of, and keen interest in, government, current affairs and business trends and events - and their implications for the clients we work with
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
