About the Role (Your Why)

The Compensation and Benefit Advisor contributes to the development and execution of new and updated compensation programs, policies, and procedures in line with Datacom’s strategic goals.

The role is responsible for assisting the Group Compensation and Benefit Manager in tracking market trends and government regulations to ensure pay rates are current and competitive.

What You’ll Do

As a Compensation and Benefit Advisor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analysing the development and assisting the Manager in the implementation of strategy for the functional area, in line with the broader Datacom strategy.
  • Providing support to managers and employees on pay, benefits, and employment terms, while also assisting with the annual salary review process.
  • Collating and analysing market data and government regulations and providing recommendations to management on pay review processes.
  • Acting as an internal advisor on all projects/initiatives with a compensation and benefits impact involving interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Examining compensation data to uncover potential disparities (e.g., gender pay gaps) and ensure fairness across all levels by developing equitable salary and bonus plans through comprehensive job evaluations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement to build a culture of service excellence and demonstrates new ways of working.
  • Be part of an effective team that works collaboratively and constructively to achieve business goals and promote a positive culture within the team.

What You’ll Bring

As a Compensation and Benefit Advisor, you will bring:

  • A minimum of 4 years of HR experience, ideally with 2 years specializing in compensation and benefits, with extensive knowledge in implementing diverse employee initiatives within a complex industry, including advising on compensation strategies.
  • Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Knowledge of people management best practices and a strategic mindset to see the big picture.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent writing ability and attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing programs that cultivate a positive company culture and improve employee experience.
