The Compliance Coordinator ensures vehicle compliance through thorough audits and checks, coordinates with the Buying team, and manages documentation securely.
At Carma, we’re more than just a car company, we’re on a mission to shake up the Australian automotive industry! As a digital pre-owned car dealership, we’re turning the car buying (and selling!) experience into a hassle-free, seamless journey that customers can truly enjoy. With our diverse and collaborative team managing everything from engineering to marketing and buying to reconditioning in-house, we’re powered by the best people and we’d love for you to come along for the ride!
As a Buying Compliance Coordinator in our Buying team, you’re the behind the scenes legend making sure every vehicle is fully checked, fully documented, and fully compliant before it moves through the pipeline. You’re the one who spots the detail others miss, keeps everything audit ready, and makes sure nothing slips through the cracks, basically the reason our Buying team runs clean, tight and fast.
What you'll be doing:
- Own pre sale compliance from start to finish, making sure every vehicle meets internal policy and regulatory requirements
- Run detailed compliance checks including recalls, manufacturer contact, service history reviews and ASIC checks
- Work closely with Buyers to keep everything moving on time and nothing falling behind
- Keep vehicle keys, logbooks and documents secure, organised and audit ready at all times
- Act as the central coordination point for the Buying team, keeping communication flowing and everyone on the same page
- Enter and verify vehicle data using Redbook and Glass’s with strong attention to detail and zero guesswork
- Support the wider team with customer service and phone based coordination when needed
- Work closely with Delivery, CX, Registrations and Workshop teams to make sure handover processes run smoothly
- Jump in to support sourcing activities when required, including picking up the phone and chasing key details
Okay, let's talk about you:
- You’ve got experience in administration, coordination or compliance in a fast paced environment
- You communicate clearly and confidently, especially when picking up the phone or pushing back when needed
- You’re obsessed with detail and pride yourself on getting things right the first time
- You’re highly organised and love working within structured processes and checklists
- You can juggle multiple tasks and deadlines without losing track of the detail
- You’re proactive, self motivated and happy working independently or as part of a team
- You’re tech savvy and pick up new systems quickly without fuss
- You care about doing things properly, keeping records clean, and making sure everything is audit ready
What's in it for you?
- Jump into a fast growing, collaborative crew where your ideas actually make waves!
- Our open plan office comes fuelled with fresh coffee, a snack stash for any craving, and Friday rooftop drinks to keep your energy in the fast lane!
- Sweet perks because, well, we’re a car business so $$ off Carma cars, parts, and NRMA cover to rev up your ride!
At Carma, we’re all about fostering an amazing culture, where you can bring your best self to work! We value collaboration, innovation and having a laugh at work. Plus, we’re committed to diversity, inclusion and safe work practices, so no matter your background or experience (or car brand of choice!) we’d love to hear from you. Please let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments during the interview process.
