You’ll support our control testing and monitoring capability for the ANZ region and ensure that you maintain independence while supporting the overall success of the organisation.

You will work closely with Legal, Operations and various product teams across the Equifax product lines to provide timely, efficient, practical and high calibre compliance services to support the business achieve its strategic objectives. This role will suit those that are happy to collaborate and focus on practical solutions while also maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll be responsible for assisting the relevant business units to take reasonable steps to ensure that the company's operational activities across the Region are compliant with relevant legislation.

  • Assist in the review of policies and procedures as they relate to our obligations under specific legislative requirements in the Region with particular reference to complaint handling and investigations.

  • Develop and maintain a superior knowledge and understanding of compliance related legislation relevant to our operations in ANZ.

  • Be the first point of referral for responses to regulatory/compliance investigations being handled by internal teams.

  • Review marketing and other collateral.

  • Assist the non-credit bureau divisions to manage and respond to complaints

  • Maintain Trademarks, Obligations and other registers

  • Participate in and assist with the bi-annual risk workshops

What Experience You Need 

  • 4-7 years of experience as a compliance (or risk/monitoring related) professional in an enterprise environment

  • 4+ Years of Experience assisting business units in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

  • Experience reviewing policies and procedures related to legislative requirements, particularly complaint handling and investigations.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of compliance-related legislation.

  • Experience maintaining registers (e.g., Trademarks, Obligations).

  • Experience participating in risk workshops.
