Qualitative Market Research Consultant

IQVIA is a global leader in healthcare intelligence, combining data, technology, and human science to advance healthcare outcomes. Our Primary Intelligence (PI) team sits at the forefront of this mission—blending market research, behavioural science, and strategic consulting to help clients make confident, evidence-based decisions. We partner with leading organisations across pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and consumer health, delivering insights that shape strategy, improve patient outcomes, and drive innovation.

About the Role

We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and commercially minded Qualitative Market Research Consultant to join our high-performing team.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll play a key part in delivering end-to-end market research and insight-led consulting projects. You’ll work across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, transforming complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence real-world healthcare decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting the dots between human behaviour and business strategy and is looking to deepen their consulting capability within a global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of client proposals and tailored research solutions by interpreting business challenges and identifying appropriate methodologies
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of end-to-end market research studies, aligned to client objectives
  • Manage and coordinate fieldwork processes, including supplier engagement, timelines, and data quality
  • Conduct qualitative interviews and focus groups with healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data, translating findings into meaningful insights and strategic implications
  • Apply structured problem-solving and critical thinking to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Support the development of high-impact presentations and reports tailored to different audiences
  • Contribute to the delivery of clear, compelling recommendations grounded in data and insight
  • Present selected findings and insights to internal teams and, over time, to clients
  • Work closely with senior team members and cross-functional experts to deliver high-quality projects
  • Build your expertise in consulting frameworks, research methodologies, and healthcare dynamics
  • Proactively contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You’re an intellectually curious and driven professional who enjoys blending data, storytelling, and strategy.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Behavioural Science, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in market research, insights, or consulting, ideally within healthcare or a related industry
  • Strong experience in qualitative research, including moderating interviews or focus groups
  • Solid understanding of quantitative research and analytical techniques
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and a desire to continuously learn and grow

Why Join IQVIA?

  • Work on meaningful healthcare challenges that impact patients and providers globally
  • Be part of a collaborative, insight-driven consulting team
  • Gain exposure to top-tier clients and strategic decision-making
  • Access structured learning, development, and career progression pathways
  • Leverage the scale, data, and innovation capabilities of a global organisation
  • Enjoy a flexible and supportive working environment
