About the Role

As a Heritage Consultant, you’ll:

  • Conduct aboriginal cultural heritage and archaeological surveys and assessments, primarily in NSW and occasionally in other regions.
  • Work alongside and consult with Traditional Owners, ensuring respectful and meaningful collaboration.
  • Provide technical advice and services to clients while honing your project management and technical skills.
  • Develop and grow in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, with exposure to a wide variety of projects and challenges.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking passionate, proactive professionals with:

  • A tertiary degree in archaeology, anthropology, Aboriginal studies, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of fieldwork experience in aboriginal cultural heritage or archaeology.
  • Solid knowledge of NSW aboriginal heritage legislation and the statutory approvals process.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • The ability to conduct fieldwork and operate in remote locations when needed.
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence.
  • Familiarity with WHS obligations and responsibilities.
  • Authorisation to work in Australia.
