Role: Consulting Director, Digital Reporting & Compliance

Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.

This is a full-time role open to candidates located in Australia. We prefer candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne, but will also consider remote applicants across the country.

Travel Expectations: Up to 40%

What You’ll Do:

  • Work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive finance management consulting experience to help finance and accounting executives at multi-billion-dollar companies solve complex problems, from strategy through execution.
  • Design system architecture and personally execute the implementation of best-in-class Workiva platform models
  • Prioritise and manage multiple projects and tasks, including engagement economics and project scope, while setting stakeholder expectations and meeting deadlines
  • Develop executive-level presentations to communicate complex issues and recommendations across processes, systems, and people
  • Conduct client training sessions to thoroughly educate them on features and functionalities of the Workiva platform
  • Participate in sales cycles to showcase our expertise and conduct product demonstrations; assist with drafting Statements of Work (SOWs) and proposals to ensure our clients understand the value we bring.
  • Mentor and guide Analyst, Senior and Manager level team members to foster their professional growth and development.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of finance management consulting with a focus on finance transformation or finance process improvement, or financial reporting experience with a focus on drafting financial statements
  • Significant reporting experience preferred in any one of the following areas: Annual and Interim Reporting, Management Reporting, Operational Reporting, Statutory Reporting, Sustainability Reporting, Fund Reporting, Private Company Reporting.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting in Workiva and technical competency in one or more of the following areas: record-to-report, general accounting, external reporting and Statutory reporting.
  • Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles, leading practices, and execution (i.e., requirements gathering, solution design and testing cycles)
  • Strong project management experience including workplan creation and updates, milestone tracking, risk management, status updates, change management, and communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; clearly convey complex business concepts to executive audience free of grammatical errors, incorporating leading practices for business writing
  • Strong leadership skills and executive presence
