About the role (your why) 

Are you ready to lead with impact? We’re looking for a dynamic Consulting Manager to provide strategic guidance and leadership in delivering our cutting-edge, Local Government ERP solutions to our clients. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring successful implementation of complex ERP initiatives. 

As a key leader, you'll manage and mentor a high-performing team of consultants—fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring delivery excellence across projects. 

If you have a strong background in ERP implementation, we want to hear from you—your expertise will be critical in helping our clients transform their operations. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Consulting or Professional Services firm 
  • Strong People Management Experience 
  • Comfortable operating in an ERP project delivery environment 
  • An ability to manage complex stakeholder, vendor and team relationships 
  • Background in Local Government business processes  
  • Ability to build and lead collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives. 
  • Deep knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle etc 
  • Experience in end-to-end ERP implementation
  • Strong understanding of core business processes in Local Government (Finance, Rating, Regulatory etc.) 

What you will do: 

Leadership of Consultants: 

  • Team leadership - motivation / retention 
  • Personal development, upskilling and training 
  • Performance appraisals, management and one-on-ones 

Financial Management: 

  • Management of P&L and utilization and billable hours; seek to maximize revenue where-ever possible 
  • Budget and forecast preparation; review of monthly accounts 

Customer engagement 

  • Communicate with customers at C-suite level leadership 
  • Front projects from a delivery perspective alongside project managers, sales, product (where required) and executive 
  • Sign off delivery plans included in sales proposals and contracts 
  • Manage expectations regarding delivery timeframes with both customers and within Datacom 

Sales support: 

  • Assist the Sales/Presales teams with the development of quality proposals and bids 
  • Present to prospects on implementation practices as required  
  • Ensure continuity between sales and delivery, bridging the gap between what is sold and what is delivered 

Development feedback: 

  • Continually provide feedback to the development teams regarding ease of product use, customer experience and efficiency of implementation to enable product improvements and reduced implementation timeframes
