Position Purpose:
- Strategizing with senior leaders and coaching them on ways to sharpen and increase the cadence and impact of communications with their teams, as well as throughout Health Net.
- Partnering closely with senior leaders and helping them “find their voice” to internal and external audiences.
- Strategizing with and supporting the California Communications team with special projects, scripts, videos, presentations and associated content development for internal communications, external stakeholders, social media, collateral materials, etc.
- Providing communications strategy and support to Health Net’s California Communications team, including the Commercial, Medi-Cal, Exchange, Duals and Medicare lines of business.
- Overseeing the writing/editing process, from strategy through execution, targeting identified audiences, and collaborating closely with those on the California Communications, Marketing and other teams.
- Creating, coordinating and collaborating with others on editorial content to be shared across both internal and external audiences on various platforms.
- Supporting the communications efforts for Health Net’s commercial, Medi-Cal, Exchange, Medicare and Duals lines of business, including internal, external and business communications and community events planning.
- Spearheading an internal/external content library (for employee, member, employer, broker and provider audiences).
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field of study
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Corporate communications, journalism, or a combination any relevant experience as a writer/communicator or public relations practitioner
