Job DescriptionThe world looks different from above. Help us tell that story.
Nearmap is a global location intelligence company on a mission to give industries the clearest possible picture of the world — literally. Using our own patented camera systems, AI, and SaaS platforms, we capture high-resolution aerial imagery that shapes how insurers assess risk, how governments plan cities, and how construction teams build the future.
We're looking for a Content Writer who can match that ambition with their words.
What you'll do
This isn't a "write a blog post, post it, repeat" kind of role. You'll work across the full content spectrum — from brand-level storytelling to targeted vertical campaigns in Insurance, Government, and AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Operations) — with real ownership over how Nearmap shows up in the market.
You'll be creating content that:
- Drives demand — think landing pages, email campaigns, nurture sequences, social posts, and banner ads that move prospects through the funnel
- Builds thought leadership — industry research pieces, webinar presentations, and video scripts that position Nearmap as the definitive voice in location intelligence
- Spans formats and channels — long and short form, written and visual, owned and paid
You'll collaborate closely with Growth Marketing, Creative, Digital, Sales, BDRs, and external agency partners. You'll also be one of the team's leads on AI-assisted content production — using generative AI tools to accelerate your work while holding the line on quality, brand voice, and accuracy.
Qualifications
What we're looking for
Experience
- 3-5 years in B2B or B2C marketing writing, ideally in tech
- Background in insurance, government, AECO, or customer marketing is a big plus
- Experience managing creative resources — writers, designers, video producers
Skills
- A genuine talent for translating complex, technical products into clear and compelling stories for varied audiences
- Strong SEO knowledge, including on-page optimisation and working with SEO agencies to improve content performance
- Comfort with marketing analytics tools like Google Analytics — you know how to read performance data and use it to sharpen your content strategy
- Experience with content management systems and the ability to manage content across multiple channels and formats simultaneously
- Fluency with generative AI tools (yes, we use Claude and ChatGPT here) — including knowing how to critically evaluate AI output for accuracy, brand consistency, and quality, not just speed
- Ability to work to and write creative briefs, and manage relationships with external agencies, freelance writers, designers, and video producers
You as a person
- You think like an educator — you intuitively know what an audience needs to understand and how they want to take it in
- You can hold creative and analytical thinking at the same time
- You're highly organised and can juggle multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
- You bring agility, responsiveness, and a sense of humour to the work
