Clinical Trial Contract Associate (FSP)

Home-Based | Australia & New Zealand

Join ICON in a Functional Service Provider (FSP) partnership with a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation, supporting the delivery of innovative clinical trials across a dynamic and fast-paced portfolio.

We are seeking a Clinical Trial Contract Associate to join the Clinical Business Operations team, playing a key role in the preparation, negotiation, and execution of site and investigator contracts.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals early in their clinical research career (or with initial contracting experience) to further develop within a highly collaborative, fast-paced global environment.

You will take ownership of site contract activities from study start-up through to site initiation, working closely with cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Legal, and Investigator Payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise clinical trial agreements (CTAs) and investigator contracts
  • Act as the primary point of contact for site contract activities at the protocol level
  • Manage contract execution processes, including signature coordination and tracking timelines
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Legal, Regulatory, and external sites/vendors
  • Support development of site budgets and investigator grant agreements
  • Track contract status, maintain systems, and ensure accurate documentation
  • Identify risks and proactively resolve contract or budget issues
  • Contribute to contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, GCP, and regulatory requirements
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field
  • 1–2 years’ experience in clinical research contracts, gained within Australia and/ or New Zealand at either CRO, sponsor or investigative site
  • Exposure to site contracts and/or budget negotiation
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight timelines
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with Grants/contract systems advantageous)
