We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer / Drafter to join our collaborative and high-performing team for a minimum of 9 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated drafting professional who enjoys working in multidisciplinary environments and wants to contribute to the delivery of major infrastructure and rail projects.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical design documentation and drawings, working closely with engineers, designers and other discipline teams to deliver project outcomes.

You will play a key role in the development, coordination and delivery of electrical design packages, ensuring compliance with project requirements, Australian Standards and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop electrical design drawings and documentation using MicroStation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated design solutions.
  • Produce accurate and high-quality design documentation in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinate and integrate electrical designs with civil, structural and other engineering disciplines.
  • Manage drawing revisions and maintain document control processes.
  • Support the delivery of infrastructure and transport projects through all project phases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and efficient project delivery.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and external clients.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Substantial experience in electrical drafting and design across a consultancy environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MicroStation.
  • Experience using AutoCAD will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and design documentation practices.
  • Experience within infrastructure environments, preferably rail or transport projects.
  • Exposure to ProjectWise or a willingness to develop capability in this platform.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination.
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Engineering Design, Drafting or a related discipline.
  • Full Australian Working Rights
