The Opportunity

Cochlear has an opportunity for a full-time, permanent Contracts Administrator & Paralegal based in our Sydney office. In this role, the successful Contracts Administrator & Paralegal will oversee the contract management system, provide technical support, liaise with vendors, perform paralegal duties, and actively support the legal team in optimizing operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the contract management system (CMS), including contract review, data entry, reminders, and report generation.
  • Providing training and technical support for CMS users and administering system updates.
  • Liaising with external vendors for CMS software support and contract uploads.
  • Conducting legal research, filing, and drafting non-legal and legal documents.
  • Assisting with drafting and reviewing standard contracts like confidentiality agreements.
  • Collaborating with the CLTD Legal Team on strategies for enhanced legal function efficiency.

Essential

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3rd year law student with contract law subject completed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be proactive and effectively manage time
  • Ability to quickly develop advanced knowledge of a CMS

Desired Skills

  • Prior paralegal experience
  • Prior CMS experience
