This is a high-impact position offering broad exposure to commodities trading, with close interaction across trading, risk, compliance, legal, technology, and operations teams globally.

Role Responsibilities

  • Establish and onboard access to new Power and Gas markets across APAC and Europe
  • Maintain and optimise existing market access, ensuring compliance with exchange and regulatory requirements
  • Analyse and assess new market opportunities, including barriers to entry and operational considerations
  • Support the daily operational oversight of the APAC commodities business
  • Contribute to improving processes related to market setup and ongoing maintenance
  • Assist in coordinating key project build-outs and strategic initiatives across multiple teams
  • Track deliverables, timelines, and dependencies to ensure successful execution
  • Communicate with counterparties, exchanges, and brokers regarding market access, documentation, and operational matters
  • Act as a liaison between trading teams and internal stakeholders to ensure effective information flow
  • Support the development and enhancement of tools and systems required for Power and Gas market participation
  • Prepare, review, and submit contracts, onboarding documentation, and regulatory filings
  • Assist in interpreting and communicating regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
  • Provide ad hoc support to the COO team on strategic and operational initiatives
  • Support the Danish and APAC Commodities teams with day-to-day activities
  • Assist with internal meetings, materials preparation, and follow-ups

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role within financial services, trading, or operations
  • Prior experience in commodities markets, with a strong preference for Power and/or Gas, is essential
  • Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent), though not mandatory
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
