The Coordinating Data Steward role sits within the Knowledge department and will be a key member of the Data Management and Governance team. As part of the team, you will contribute to and promote the Bank-wide data management policy, guidelines and practices to support the Bank's data management objectives and operations. The role reports to enterprise data management manager.
About the role
Support and develop data management capabilities across the Bank by working with senior business stakeholders to solve data related problems.
Contribute to the Enterprise Data Office strategic direction.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support data management core functions.
Contribute to and promote the bank-wide data management policy, guidelines and practices to support the Bank's data management objectives and operations.
Provide expertise in data management (including data quality management, metadata management, master and reference data management, data governance) and support to the Business Data Stewards with the collection and documentation of metadata, lineage, risks and controls to be recorded in the business glossary.
About you
Solid understanding and experience in implementing data management and governance framework, ideally following the DAMA DMBoK methodology, in the financial services sector.
Experience in building and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
Exposure and good understanding of big data and data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge of SQL, R, Python and git is desired, but not essential.
Experience in metadata management tools.
