As a Commercial Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the compliant delivery of commercial, contractual, and procurement functions associated with Engine and APU asset management. The Commercial Coordinator is responsible for engine Supplier Management, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective spare engine management.

The performance of this role will have influence on engine maintenance spend per year, with an objective to achieve the lowest unit maintenance life cycle cost. The Commercial Coordinator will also be the primary interface with engine suppliers for all logistical and planning activities associated with the Qantas Engine Fleet Management activities.

Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the effective management and administration of supplier contracts and relationships. This includes developing and implementing commercial strategies to achieve optimal life cycle costs for engines, managing invoicing, forecasting, and financial modelling. Your ability to take ownership of tasks and drive supplier agreements forward will be key to success in this role.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Industry experience in Supplier Management, Contract Management, Asset Management and / or other relevant experience.
  • Experience in a regulated, complex environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial planning and execution
  • Proactive and self-directed work style
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical problem solving mindset, with sound judgment in complex technical environments under pressure
  • Ability to adapt and contribute within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in MS Office and emerging software tools
  • Familiarity with aviation documentation and regulatory frameworks (highly regarded)
  • Background in engine logistics, commercial contracts, and supplier management.
