Corporate Communications Manager - 12-month contract
Role Purpose:
The Corporate Communications Manager position is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the important role that communications can play in driving employee engagement and communicating the organisation’s strategy and business priorities to key stakeholders.
This role will develop internal communications plans and campaigns to help communicate business priorities and bring stories from across the business to life. This role also provides advice and support to a range of stakeholders, assisting with external corporate communication as required.
We are a team of experienced professionals with expertise across the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability (CAS) function that sits within the CEO’s office. We work collaboratively to achieve great reputational and business outcomes for Challenger.
Role Responsibilities:
- Proactively developing effective communication plans and drafting content to engage employees and support delivery of the business strategy.
- Developing strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and supporting them in communicating key messages
- Ensuring a consistent narrative in all internal communications, aligned to strategy and values
- Driving content for key employee communication channels
- Developing and delivering informative, engaging and innovative internal communications events that support the corporate strategy
- Managing internal channels and content calendars, ensuring a regular flow of information, including business priorities and updates for employees
- Supporting communication planning and delivery of sustainability related communication materials
- Management of media monitoring and analysis
- Actively contributing to the work of the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability (CAS) team and providing support for other projects as required.
- Production and editing of employee videos and graphics where required.
Role Requirements:
- Solid understanding of internal communications requirements for medium to large organisations
- Solid understanding of communication campaign planning
- Strong writing ability, and experience creating compelling content and translating complex information into engaging content
- Previous experience in a corporate affairs or communications role, including direct responsibility for employee communications
- Demonstrated ability to plan and develop creative communication campaigns and strong writing ability
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders
