Job Description
At J.P. Morgan, we are dedicated to providing innovative financial solutions to our clients. As an Analyst / Associate in our Sydney Corporate Sales team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in foreign exchange & commodity markets to build and nurture client relationships. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can drive client revenue growth and collaborate with industry leaders to deliver comprehensive solutions.
As an Analyst / Associate in the Sydney Corporate Sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing key corporate client relationships. You will execute FX and Commodity product trades, understand market drivers, and identify product opportunities to manage financial risk for corporate clients. You will work closely with sales, trading, research, and banking partners to provide comprehensive client coverage.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding market drivers and identifying product opportunities.
  • Manage the business, balance sheet, credit, and financial risk for corporate clients.
  • Drive client revenue growth by developing strategies to deepen existing client relationships and prospecting new clients.
  • Collaborate with sales, trading, research, and banking partners to provide comprehensive client coverage.
  • Provide clients with trade ideas and market intelligence.
  • Exhibit strong intellectual curiosity and organizational skills.
  • Maintain attention to detail under high-pressure situations with urgency and integrity.
  • Develop to be the commodity subject matter expert for the Australian franchise.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Ability to established relationships with corporate clients across various industry sectors.
  • Strong understanding of FX &/or commodity products and market structure.
  • Critical thinker and driver of trade ideas and themes for clients.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong team player who collaborates well with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pro-active in originating both transactions with existing clients and originating new business for the firm by leveraging the platform available


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience within an investment banking markets and/or sales environment preferred.
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements for clients to transact derivatives.
