ABOUT THE ROLE: 

We are looking for an experienced Client Partner / Account Director to join our Sydney team on a 12-month contract, supporting a new corporate client. 

You’ll take a senior role in leading the client relationship and overseeing the strategic direction and delivery of communications activity. Working closely with the client, you’ll bring a strong understanding of corporate communications, media and stakeholder engagement to help navigate complex issues and turn them into compelling stories and opportunities. 

You’ll work closely with the Ogilvy PR Corporate team in Sydney, as well as The Brand Agency team in Perth. 

ABOUT THE TEAM  

Ogilvy PR’s Corporate team is a specialist group of business and technology communications Consultants.  

We are storytellers, communicators, opinion-shapers, thinkers and makers who understand how to uncover the story behind a business and turn it into meaningful communications. 

For this project, you’ll be helping a major organisation communicate complex topics clearly and effectively to media, stakeholders and broader audiences. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Lead the day-to-day senior client relationship and act as a trusted communications adviser. 
  • Set the strategic direction for communications activity and translate client objectives into clear campaigns and plans.
  • Oversee delivery of corporate communications, media relations, and integrated campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Ogilvy PR team in Sydney and The Brand Agency team in Perth to coordinate activity and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, workshops, and strategic discussions.
  • Identify proactive opportunities to build reputation, influence, and engagement.
  • Provide senior counsel across media, issues and corporate communications.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality communications materials and campaign outputs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior media and key stakeholders.
  • Stay closely connected to the client’s business, industry, competitors, issues, and broader landscape.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within scope.
  • Mentor and support more junior team members where required. 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • PR and communications experience at Account Director level. 
  • Strong experience leading corporate communications accounts and senior client relationships.
  • Experience working across business, technology, or other complex corporate environments.
  • Excellent understanding of the Australian media landscape and strong senior media relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to provide confident, practical counsel to clients.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong campaign leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to bring together multiple teams and disciplines to deliver integrated work.
  • A calm, proactive, and collaborative approach, with the ability to navigate complex or fast-moving issues.
