A Snapshot
The Construction Cost Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data related to construction projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making and optimize project performance:
- Provide input into all aspects of construction cost analysis that are business-critical for our hyper-scale data centre projects in Asia Pacific Region
- Development and implementation of analytical strategies.
Your Day to Day
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated user friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to support the financial needs of data centre construction projects.
- Use and maintenance of historical cost metrics to drive improvements in estimate accuracy
- Collaborate with Engineering Technology & Procurement (OSE) to create and drive detailed data analytics
- Collect, clean, and maintain data from various sources including project management software, and multiple cost reporting packages.
- Data Analytics to support Project Delivery and Business Operations. Develop compelling data visualizations to illustrate construction cost trends, patterns, and outliers, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions Identify recurring issues and trends using metrics data, and work with key partners to find permanent solutions
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide actionable insights
- Recognise and adopt best practices in construction cost management, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.
Requirements
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- 3 plus years relevant experience in Construction Cost Analysis
- Preferable QS/construction background
