  • Driving commercial performance of new and existing partnerships
  • Permanent, full-time role based at Mascot Head Office

At Qantas, we represent Australia to the world. Our diverse country is known for its unique spirit, mateship, and a can-do attitude. Together we’re strong and resilient, and we work hard to make sure we’re always at our best.

As the Creative Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy, management and execution of marketing activity within a business unit. This role is strategically and directly responsible for campaigns that contribute to anywhere from 20-200m revenue to the business. This role requires a high-level understanding of the business goals for Qantas Airline and the Qantas Group and various external commercial partners.

Working closely with the Qantas Airline Marketing, Brand and Corporate Communications teams, you’ll lead brand and marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships to drive revenue and share of wallet. As Creative Studio’s Creative Lead (Art/Design), you’ll champion brand guardianship, creative leadership, and high‑level execution, shaping Qantas’ visual identity through bold, engaging, and emotionally resonant work that reflects the premium, innovative, uniquely Australian spirit of the brand.

You’ll lead art direction, design craft, and visual storytelling across integrated campaigns — from major brand work to CRM, social, inflight, digital, and out‑of‑home. Working closely with Marketing, Brand, Copy, Strategy, and broader teams, the Creative Lead (Art/Design) ensures all output is visually impactful, strategically aligned, and crafted to the highest standard. The role also extends beyond Marketing into Customer Experience, Corporate Communications, Freight, and more, with a focus on elevating design across all customer touchpoints.

You’ll Have:

  • 10+ years of design industry experience, with at least 8 years in senior creative roles
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field
  • A portfolio that shows elevated design, strong art direction, and conceptual thinking across multiple platforms
  • Experience working in-house with premium or lifestyle brands is highly valued
  • Expertise in evolving and applying brand systems across digital, print, and environmental touchpoints
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to build strong relationships across departments and agencies
