This exciting new opportunity sits in the newly formed Reliability and Operational Excellence team in IT.

This role will also work closely with the RBA Future Hub (the RBA's central program office addressing the RBA Review), in particular the Culture & Leadership stream.

The role will focus on leading and embedding the Bank’s Open & Dynamic cultural ambition in a way that drives High Reliability, and key focus areas for the first 12 months will include:

  • Working with other members of the Reliability and Operational Excellence team and Culture & Leadership teams, to develop an integrated roadmap of culture and leadership activities to drive High Reliability.

  • Working with the Reliability and Operational Excellence and Culture & Leadership teams to design and deliver initiatives that drive High Reliability.

  • Working hands on with the leaders of High Reliability areas of the Bank to implement changes and drive continuous improvement in a sustainable way.

  • Defining and developing key culture metrics to measure the ongoing progress against our culture ambition.

Key elements of this role’s work:

  • Contribute to design and delivery of culture initiatives as a Culture SME, including agreeing and communicating detailed breakdowns of work and timelines of these initiatives in line with overall roadmaps;

  • Blend strategic thinking with operational delivery

  • Coach leaders and their teams to operate in ways that drive High Reliability including facilitating and conducting specific activities (e.g. huddles)

  • Work with a Culture Analyst as appropriate to ensure the work is delivered effectively.

  • Work with roles in the Culture & Leadership stream to ensure the cohesive delivery of

  • culture and leadership initiatives across the Bank

  • Measure progress and iterate as appropriate to ensure ongoing progress in driving High Reliability and our Open & Dynamic Cultural ambition

  • Execute in line with our Agile approach.

  • Work effectively with key stakeholders across the organisation to develop initiatives and services that effectively address issues and gain appropriate buy-in and adoption

About you

  • Passionate about fostering a High Reliability Organisation (HRO) culture.

  • Proven track record in supporting cultural change initiatives.

  • Expertise in facilitating workshops (e.g., FMEA) and delivering culture initiatives.

  • Skilled at managing communications for HRO programs across impacted areas and IT departments.

  • Thrive in dynamic environments, blending strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.

  • Strong communication skills for collaborative work with various teams.

  • Committed to continuous improvement and skilled at tracking progress and benefits.

  • Proficient in Agile methodologies.

  • Effective at working with key stakeholders to develop initiatives.

  • Background in safety, quality, or continuous improvement is highly valued, with experience in creating documents and tracking improvements.
