Reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, Roche Products Australia is looking for a Customer Logistics Partner. As a Customer Logistics Partner (CLP), you will be accountable for delivering exceptional customer experience through effective management of end to end supply chain operations activities like 4PL Warehousing and Distribution, Order-to-Cash activities and contractual oversight; In-Market Demand, Supply and Inventory Management; Customer Experience Management, including Commercial and Roche Access to Medicine Pathway customers; Local Master Data Stewardship and Process Ownership; Strategic Supplier Management; Supply Chain Analytics; Product Lifecycle Management and Value Stream to Patient Design and Execution; and Project Management.
Leveraging your subject matter expertise, you will collaborate with various functions within the affiliate to understand market dynamics and respond to changes which may impact value stream to patient design, and in-market product supply to the market. You will ensure world class service levels and our license-to-operate for local order management and distribution, implementing supply chain strategies to deliver our innovative medicines to customers and patients. This is a key role within the end-to-end supply chain operating model that interacts with local and global stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and negotiate contracts and optimize performance with supply chain service providers, including establishing and monitoring KPIs.
- Provide strategic and operational management of local 4PL warehouses, distribution networks, transport, and general logistics partners to ensure compliance with contract terms, legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
- Execute GxP processes compliantly, manage discrepancies, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with logistics and distribution partners.
- Manage daily operational activities, including inbound deliveries, import licenses, reconciliation of 4PL and Roche inventories, reverse logistics, and invoice reconciliation for freight forwarders, 4PL providers and transport operations.
- Optimize in-market supply and distribution management, ensuring timely supply and distribution of Roche products through effective demand, supply, and inventory management practices.
- Conduct local Sales & Operations Planning Processes, including demand plan forecasting, ensuring that risks and opportunities are captured, and business outcomes are achieved
- Partner with Commercial, Regional and Global Supply Chain Teams, Regulatory, Quality, and other internal groups, and external customers and suppliers.
- Ensure Roche’s “license to operate” for quality and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the Country Supply Manager (CSM) on country replenishment plans and shipment coordination from central packaging sites, including managing exceptions.
- Engage with customers to identify insights and opportunities for value creation, delivering sustainable value streams to patients and customer solutions
- Create and maintain item and material master data, customer master data (including accountability for Local Export Control and Trade Compliance for the Australian affiliate), pricing and rebates masters, and the National Product Catalogue.
- Manage key suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives through strong relationships, KPIs, and SLAs.
- In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, manage all stages of the product lifecycle, from pre-launch planning through growth and maturity phases to product discontinuation.
- Drive efficiency by identifying value-adding and productivity-enhancing opportunities through technology and data, in line with the digital roadmap.
- Support the end-to-end supply chain function by creating and managing robust analytical models to optimize and maximize growth, such as logistics cost base and rebates validation.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in business, life sciences or, Supply Chain Management preferable
- Thorough knowledge of OH&S, GxP, Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, and other relevant standards and guidelines
- Sound professional experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry at a local, regional or global level, including a deep understand of the external environment (healthcare ecosystem, regulations, Healthcare Service Providers, Value Streams to Patients)
- Capability to translate the future healthcare landscape changes to supply chain challenges and opportunities (i.e. participate in the design future proof end to end supply chain solutions)
- Deep understanding of E2E supply chain processes and operational requirements, an E2E mindset and ability to represent Roche Supply Chain Network
- Solid understanding of supply chain planning and execution systems
- Deep understanding of the distribution environment (transportation, customs and health authority regulations, GXP, country(s) infrastructure)
- Outcome-based, solution oriented, enterprise thinking mindset
- Experience in negotiation and contract development and management
- Able to build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships
- Strong communicator and connector between the Business, Finance, Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain.
