About the role

As the Customer Marketing Lead, reporting to the VP of Customer, you'll lead a small team while remaining hands-on, creating high-quality content, building community engagement, and leveraging insights to optimise the customer journey.

Your focus will be on developing and executing customer-centric marketing initiatives and campaigns that drive member activation, product adoption, customer engagement, and ultimately, advocacy across our entire customer base.

As a subject matter expert in content creation, you'll craft insightful and actionable materials, including help guides, thought leadership articles, case studies, and resources designed to educate, inspire, and engage customers and members. You'll also lead efforts to foster an engaged customer community by facilitating communication and initiatives that connect our customers and build advocacy for Sonder.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the creation and delivery of high-quality content, including customer case studies, thought leadership articles, and toolkit materials.
  • Develop customer-focused guides, materials, and campaigns to drive engagement, education, and activation.
  • Design and implement initiatives to build and foster customer community connections, such as round tables and forums. 
  • Facilitate forums or events for customers to share insights and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities, driving impactful marketing strategies.
  • Partner with Customer Success to integrate insights into actionable marketing plans.
  • Build a high-performing team, with high ownership and continuous improvement mindset
  • Build and execute communication strategies to support member activation and community growth.
  • Leverage analytics and customer feedback to refine activation approaches and optimise marketing strategies.

Who are we looking for?

What you bring to the team;

  • 4+ years of experience in customer marketing, content marketing, or related roles, with 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Previous experience working in the Safety, medical, mental health or HR domain
  • Proven success in creating enterprise and mid-market tailored content across diverse industries.
  • Solid understanding of the customer journey to drive product adoption, retention and growth. 
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional copywriting and communication skills with experience crafting SME-level content for  all audiences.
  • Experience in marketing domains such as email campaigns, events, whitepapers, and community engagement.
  • Proficiency in tools like HubSpot, Braze, or similar platforms.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • High adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data driven with the ability utilise analytics to refine and enhance marketing strategies.
