I'm Jack Hannath, Manager, Customer Success (APAC), at Teamworks. Japan is one of the fastest-growing markets for us right now, and we're building our presence there in a way that respects the language and cultural nuances of the region rather than just extending our existing APAC model. This role exists to give Japan the dedicated attention it needs, someone who can bridge the language gap and build direct, trusted relationships with clubs and organizations across the country.

This is a first-of-its-kind role for us. You'll be the face of Teamworks in Japan, working across a wide product suite, from Hub to AMS to our Intelligence tools, and helping shape how we grow in this market from the ground up.

The Role
  • Own the full customer lifecycle for our Japan clients, from implementation and training through renewal and expansion, across Hub, AMS, Strength & Conditioning, Recruiting, and Intelligence (Coaching & Player Personnel)

  • Drive renewals and account growth across the Japan portfolio

  • Train and upskill clients continuously so they get full value from the system, not just at onboarding

  • Partner with our PSM team to build shared understanding across key AMS and S&C accounts

  • Partner with our PSM and Intelligence teams to build shared understanding across key Coaching and Player Personnel accounts

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in Japan, from new club engagement to upsell potential within existing accounts

What I'm Looking ForWhat You Must Bring
  • Previous experience within a sporting organization, as a player, coach, or operations staff, with a strong understanding of the Japanese sports ecosystem — this role requires credibility and context that only comes from having been inside the industry

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, spoken and written — you'll be the primary bridge between our team and Japanese clients, so this isn't negotiable

  • Strong project management, data literacy, and communication abilities to translate technical concepts for coaches, medical staff, and administrators

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to guide professional sports organizations through software adoption and serve as a trusted voice

  • Solution focused, proactive mindset with a passion for customer experience and willingness to help identify challenges and work towards actionable, real world solutions for our partners

  • Willingness and ability to travel within Japan based throughout the year for face to face engagements with our partners as required

Even Better If
  • You've worked in Customer Success, Account Management, or SaaS before

  • You've used Teamworks products (Hub, AMS, Smartabase) or similar athlete and team management platforms

Why This Role

You'd be one of the first people building out our presence in Japan, with real ownership over how we grow in one of the most exciting markets in sports tech right now. This isn't a role where you're inheriting a playbook, you're writing it, backed by a team that's already proven this model works across the rest of APAC.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region.
