Job Description

The Cyber Security team provides governance, audit, control, and operational Cyber Security capabilities to support the business and operational objectives of Nine group. Minimising friction and managing appropriate risk are key tenets of the team. The Security team works closely with the Security Cloud Practice, Product Engineering, Network and Infrastructure and Services teams to collaboratively manage cyber controls.

Day to day you will:

  • Be responsible for protecting our valuable intellectual property, broadcast infrastructure, and digital platforms from cyber threats.

  • Use deep technical expertise to transform raw data into actionable intelligence that guides security strategy and executive decision-making.

  • Lead and mentor a team, developing the strategic vision for our threat intelligence program.

  • Proactively identify, analyze, and track cyber threats, actors, and their techniques.

  • Collaborate with security operations and incident response teams on proactive threat hunting missions.

  • Manage our threat intelligence platform, integrating various intelligence feeds.

  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders across the company, providing tailored support and intelligence.

  • Offer critical context and enrichment during security incidents to expedite response efforts.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in a dedicated cyber threat intelligence role, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or senior analyst capacity.
  • Demonstrable experience tracking advanced threat actors, particularly those known to target media organisations (e.g., state-sponsored actors targeting intellectual property, hacktivist groups, or financially motivated criminals).
  • Deep understanding of the intelligence lifecycle, analytical methodologies (e.g., Diamond Model, Cyber Kill Chain), and structured analytic techniques.
  • Expert-level proficiency with the MITRE ATT&CK® framework and its application in threat analysis and detection engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), SIEM solutions and EDR tools.
  • Familiarity with common OSINT investigation techniques and tools.

Desirable qualifications, experience & skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to brief senior leadership and non-technical audiences on complex cyber threats.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as GCTI, GREM, GCFE, OSCP, or CISSP are a plus.
